Question #2: Do you think the “right to an abortion” is contained anywhere in the Constitution? Or do you think pro-abortion activist Justices just came up with this “right to an abortion” out of thin air with its ruling in the 1973 Roe v. Wade case that struck down anti-abortion laws in all 50 states?

ISSUE SUMMARY: America’s founding document – our Declaration of Independence – states as follows: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Furthermore, the U.S. Constitution states that no one shall be deprived of life “without due process” – meaning a trial by jury in a court of law.

SITUATION SUMMARY: Priests for Life considers this battle to CONFIRM President Trump’s first Supreme Court Justice appointment, Judge Neil Gorsuch, the most important battle we will face during his Presidency because this Supreme Court Justice is the swing vote on a divided court, and because this first Supreme Court battle of Donald Trump’s Presidency will set the tone for all other Supreme Court nominations and other battles. If we lose this first battle, the pro-abortion Left will become energized and will pull out all the stops to torpedo all pro-life Justices and federal judges President Trump nominates.

Dear Senators,

As a voter, I implore you in the strongest possible terms to support President Donald J. Trump’s nominee for Supreme Court Justice Judge, Neil Gorsuch, to replace the late great Justice Antonin Scalia.

We need Supreme Court Justices who will follow the Constitution as written.

There is no “right to an abortion” anywhere in the U.S. Constitution. But the “right to life” is explicitly in America’s founding documents. For example, America’s founding document – our Declaration of Independence – states as follows:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

Our right to life is “unalienable” because it’s granted to us by God, as stated in America’s founding document. Then the U.S. Constitution states twice that no person can be deprived of life or liberty “without due process” – which means a trial by jury.

This is why the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court ruling that struck down anti-abortion laws in all 50 states was the worst Supreme Court ruling in America’s history.

This so-called “right to an abortion” was pulled out of thin air by radically pro-abortion justices. This ruling was based on nothing in the text of the Constitution. In fact, this ruling directly contradicted the text of the Constitution.

We need Supreme Court Justices who will vote to follow the Constitution as written – not make up their own laws to suit their own personal views. This means Supreme Court Justices who will vote to overturn the Roe v. Wade ruling that resulted in the deaths of more than 58 MILLION babies since 1973.

That’s 58 MILLION babies who were never held in their mother’s arms, never had a childhood, never went on to have families of their own, and never got to experience this gift from God called life.

You also should know that I vote in every election. There is no issue I will follow more closely than how you vote on President Trump’s first nominee for Supreme Court Justice, Judge Neil Gorsuch. Sincerely,
